The newly formed America’s Great Watershed Initiative (AGWI) launched as a collaborative effort to address the Mississippi watershed’s greatest challenges at a true basin-wide scale. Its first Steering Committee brought together leaders from navigation, flood control, agriculture, conservation, and state government. The group’s inaugural convening resulted in the America’s Great Watershed Summit conference proceedings.
